“Cured”
As an artist, the opportunity to create absurdity, confusion, and ridiculousness felt as if I had the imagination of a little kid with the skills of an adult, a feeling I am ever chasing as a creator. Like most of my artworks, the ideation for this project began with mood boards and turned to sketching, which led to cutting cardboard on my living room floor, then paper mache on my dining room table, spray painting in the driveway, and finally shooting in my backyard. Being able to start and finish an entire term-long project in my college home was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had. Thank you to my roommates for letting me turn our living space into my art studio.
